     2 eggs
     1 T vanilla
     6 c flour
     4 t baking powder
     1 c sugar
     1 c shortening or margarine
     1 c milk

     1 lb figs
     1 c dates
     1 lb mincemeat
     1 lb mixed candied citrus fruit
     1 1/2 c chopped walnuts
     1/2 c orange marmalade
     1 t cinnamon
     1 t nutmeg
     1/4 c brandy


     1.  Beat eggs and vanilla until thick and frothy.  Set aside.

     2.  Blend flour, baking powder, and sugar together.

     3.  Add margarine and cut into flour mixture.

     4.  Add eggs and milk.  Knead until smooth.

     1.  Grind figs, dates, mincemeat, citrus, walnuts and marmalade.

     2.  Mix together with remaining ingredients.  Let set.

 Assembling Cookies
     1.  Roll dough into 4-inch wide and 10-inch long strips.

     2.  Place filling evenly in center of strip, roll dough over filling, and seal.

     3.  Cut diagonally into 2-inch long pieces.

     4.  Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

     5.  Frost with icing made of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; and sprinkle with small, colored candy beads.
