	Brown Sugar Cookies Virgie Sharp Cartwright Ingredients:       3/4 cup melted shortening      1 lb. brown sugar      1 t. salt      1 t. vanilla      2 beaten eggs      3 1/2 cups sifted flour      2 t. baking powder      1 cup chopped walnuts  Directions:       1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.  Set aside.      2. Mix shortening, eggs, and brown sugar.      3. Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture a little at a time and mix well.      4. Mix in vanilla and nuts.      5. Roll into 3 long rolls about 1 inch in diameter.      6. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate over night.      7. Cut into 1/4-inch slices.      8. Place on cookie sheet an bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes
