Garlic Bread
Paul R. Giamona

     1 loaf French or Italian bread
     1/4 lb. butter or margarine
     1 T. (or more) garlic powder or 2 cloves of crushed garlic
     1/4 t. oregano
     1/4 t. rosemary
     1 t. paprika
     1/4 t. basil
     1/4 t. thyme
     1 t. parsley
     black pepper to taste 

     1. Grind spices in a mortar or coffee grinder.
     2. Soften butter.
     3. Add garlic and spices to butter and mix thoroughly.
     4. Let mixture sit for 30 minutes or more.
     5. Split bread lengthwise and spread with garlic-butter mixture.
     6. Toast in 350 degree oven.
