Tomato Sauce with Meat 

Ingredients: 

     1 lb. ground beef
     3  8-oz. cans of tomato sauce
     1 15-oz. can of tomato paste
     1 chopped onion
     3 cloves of garlic, crushed
     1 t. oregano
     1 t. basil
     1 t. thyme
     2 bay leaves
     1 T chopped Italian parsley
     1 cup water
     1/2 t. sugar
     salt and pepper to taste 

Directions: 

     1. Brown and crumble the meat.
     2. Add onion and saute until translucent.
     3. Add crushed garlic when onion is nearly done.
     4. Add spices and cook for a minute stirring constantly.
     5. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce and stir to mix thoroughly.
     6. Gradually add in water while stirring.
     7. Add salt, pepper, and sugar.
     8. Simmer for at least 30 minutes (longer is better).
     9. Serve over your favorite pasta.
