Pound Cake
Viola Gann Thomas

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cups of Crisco
3 cups white sugar
3 1/3 cups flour
5 big or 6 small eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups milk

Directions:

Cream Crisco & sugar - add eggs one at time, beating well after each. Then, add flour and milk alternatively, beating well after each addition. Finally incorporate the vanilla. Turn into a tube pan and bake at 325 degrees F. for one hour and 25 minutes.
